How do I wash my jeans

If you’re wearing raw denim: we recommend wearing them for 3-6 months without washing to break them in. When you decide to wash them, turn your jeans inside out and wash with cold water, either by themselves or with like colors b/c indigo does bleed. If you wash in a washing machine, use the most gentle cycle possible, and little or no detergent (color-safe detergent is best).

Wearing your jeans in the shower, while swimming, or washing them in a sink or tub are all great options as well, and the ones we most often employ.

Hang to dry, or tumble low, still inside out.

If you’ve got a washed or dyed style: we still recommend turning them inside out and washing cool, but you don’t need to worry about breaking them in first. Wash whenever you’re inclined, but keep in mind less laundering in general will help your clothes last longer.

Range of Sizes:

Men: 28-38

Women: 24-32

Hemming:

Raleigh Denim jeans are all hemmed on a Union Special 43200G, a rare and very special chainstitch machine. We cut all of our jeans long so they can be hemmed to your favorite length.

(Mens: 35” inseam, Womens: 33” inseam)

Do you make custom fit jeans?

Nope. Every season we make modest runs of each style in a range of different fits. We’re a small operation and aren’t currently set up to make made-to-measure.

What’s with the signatures inside my pants?

The co-founders + designers of Raleigh Denim, Victor and Sarah, sign every single pair that leaves our workshop to show that they have passed our quality inspection.

What do the numbers on my leather patch mean?

We make jeans in small batches, so we hand stamp the leather patches to show that they’re one of a limited run. So if your patch says 75/106, you have the seventy fifth pair out of one hundred and six that were made in that run.
